The Vail Valley Virtual Yoga Book Club was formed out of love for our cherished bookstore and in desire to create conversation, community, and inspire learning. The book is lead by Tracy Long, local yoga teacher and Bookworm Barista!
This monthly free community virtual offering meets on the first Tuesday of each month at 7pm. We are highlighting a local teacher and the yoga, meditation or inspirational book that he or she has selected for the Book Club discussion. Please use discount code VVVYoga for 10% off your purchase of the book!
Tuesday June 2nd: Julia Clarke presents Restorative Yoga for Beginners
Recovering from an injury, an illness, or just interested in a natural way to relax? Restorative yoga focuses on simple poses in supported positions, encouraging deep relaxation so your mind can enter a peaceful, meditative state. Restorative Yoga for Beginners offers the guidance to begin your yoga practice and bring harmony to your quality of life--one gentle stretch at a time.
Tracy is a 500 hour experienced certified yoga teacher (500 E-RYT) and founder of the VVV Yoga Book Club. Since 2012, she has been blessed to be mentored by and studying under Shannon Paige: a rich and dynamic teacher, poet, and artist, who inspires her to be creative, thoughtful and entirely in love with the practice and teachings of yoga. In 2017, Tracy opened the doors of her Minturn studio: Peace Love Aerial Yoga, a happy home for aerial and alternative fitness where she helps her students recognize their innate beauty, grace and power.
Julia Clarke, M.S. Maharishi Ayurveda & Integrative Medicine, is the author of the book Restorative Yoga for Beginners and co-founder of Mountain Soul Yoga in Edwards CO. She grew up in Scotland and came to live and teach in the Vail Valley in 2009.
