Dumb Luck and the Kindness of Strangers with John Gierach
POSTPONED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE
Join fishing writer and streamside philosopher John Gierach for the launch of his new book Dumb Luck and the Kindness of Strangers!
In this new collection, Gierach looks back to the long-ago day when he bought his first resident fishing license in Colorado, where the fishing season never ends, and just knew he was in the right place. Lifelong fisherman though he is, Gierach can write with self-deprecating humor about his own fishing misadventures, and offers observations not just about fly-fishing itself but also about how one's love of fly-fishing shapes the world that we choose to make for ourselves.
John Gierach is the author of more than twenty books about fly-fishing. His writing has appeared in Field & Stream, Gray's Sporting Journal, and Fly Rod & Reel, where he is a regular columnist. He also writes a column for the monthly Redstone Review. He lives in Lyons, Colorado.
Let me know if there are any changes/thoughts! Also went ahead and posted Melissa Savage's visit on the website with the same description as Lindsey Mattick from last year, so that we could start pushing it.
