Join us for the kick-off of the 8th Annual Ungoverned Children's Writing Contest! Ticket includes workshop and snacks.

Children's author Melanie Crowder will lead a workshop to flex kid's writing muscles and get the ideas flowing! 

Crowder is the acclaimed author of several books for young readers. She writes novels for 8-to-12-year-olds including: Three Pennies, A Nearer MoonParched, and the new middle grade duology The Lighthouse between the Worlds and A Way between WorldsShe also writes historical fiction for teens: Audacity, An Uninterrupted View of the Sky, and the forthcoming Mazie. The author lives under the big blue Colorado sky with her wife, two kids, and one good dog.
