Wrinkles in My Socks
Saturday, July 9, 2022 - 12:00pm

Join Colorado author and illustrator duo John W. Smith and Amy Klein for story time and book signing of their book Wrinkles in My Socks. This is a free event and open to skiers (and non skiers) of all ages!

One need not be a skier to appreciate the uncomfortable inconvenience posed by discovering a wrinkle in one's sock. It's especially annoying when racing the clock to get dressed in time to get somewhere on time. Even worse when an impatient, big brother is pacing the hall and a watchful mother is waiting and wondering downstairs. This fun, rhyming story (also featuring skiing) includes the concept of counting and keeping time on the clock.

John Wayne Smith lives in southern Colorado and calls Wild Horse Mesa home.  He lives among roving bands of wild horses and has dubbed the barn/studio/living quarters, the "Happy Horse Road House."  Visitors are always welcome and everyone gets a free pony ride.  John is an accomplished artist as well as writer, especially known for his detailed etchings and original designs on paper and wood surfaces.

Art has always been Amy's passion.  Her work has taken the form of illustration, toy design, live event painting, mural installation, fashion and textile design, street chalk art, cake decorating, and more.  When not in her studio, Amy loves to play in the great outdoors of her beautiful home state of Colorado.  Hiking, biking, skiing and sharing family time inspired by nature...all favorites.  Formerly residing in Highlands Ranch, CO, her new home is in Estes Park, CO in summer, 2022.
