“A beautiful book of stunning photographs and profound wisdom. The pages of MOUNTAINS OF INSPIRATION will lift you from dark valleys to mountain peaks and bless you as you make the climb.” – Ron Hall, co-author of New York Times bestseller Same Kind of Different As Me.
Each page of this book inspires us all to look within for the gift of our unlimited power. The books beautiful pictures and verse also make us realize “yesterday really has nothing to do with today unless we choose to let it”. I’m inspired by this book’s capture of the most important message of all, “we are what we choose to be”. -Ted Willey, Ed.D. President Ted Willey & Associates, Advisors to Executive Leaders.
About the author
Carol Deckard has spent over 30 years in the resort business. Her career began as an activities director with Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines. She relocated to the Vail Valley 25 years ago and followed her passion in the hospitality industry, pursuing property management and human resources.
One day, she came to a major crossroad in her life. While contemplating which direction to turn, a nature photography book by John Fielder caught her attention. As she slowly turned the pages, the photographs transported her into the wilderness as she recalled her own experiences hiking in the Colorado Rocky Mountains. The images captured the essence of the thoughts and emotions reverberating within, motivating her to write Mountains of Inspiration, Reflections on Climbing Mountains.
