Western artists, like western authors are many and varied. Claggett/Rey Gallery of Vail has been representing the finest in traditional American art for twenty years. Co-owner of the gallery, Bill Rey in collaboration with writer Don Hedgepeth, has produced a book about the life and works of Robert Lougheed, esteemed and celebrated artist of the American West. If you don't know Don Hedgpeth yet, you must find a way to make it to Edwards for this event! This western historian (and humorist) has explored the lives of artists and historical figures such as Tom Lovell, Frederic Remmington and Howard Terpning and now, Robert Lougheed.
